Get matched with a licensed proGlazing work in Pomona covers more than broken panes. Storefront systems, shower enclosures, structural glass and energy-rated window replacements each have different anchoring and sealant requirements, and wind load rules matter on taller façades.
Retrofit windows sold on price alone often skip flange detailing and flashing integration. Water intrusion shows up years later as drywall stains. Ask how the installer ties the new unit into existing weather barriers.
Coastal exposure in some Pomona neighborhoods favors corrosion-resistant fasteners and sealants rated for UV. Specify hardware grade when quoting west- or south-facing openings.
Class C-17 (Glazing) is the glazing classification for setting glass in any kind of frame or building front. CSLB separates it from general carpentry even when the opening is rough-framed by someone else. Tempered glass cannot be field-cut after manufacture, so field measurements must be final before the order is placed.
Contractors listed hold an active Class C-17 (Glazing) licence at a Pomona address with numbers linked to the register. Verify status before ordering custom-sized units with long lead times. Low-emissivity coatings face a specific direction, and reversing the unit in the opening reduces energy performance. Measure openings after stucco repair settles because rough openings change more than glass tolerances allow.
A licence does not guarantee someone carries proper suction cups and edge protection on site. Ask what happens if a unit cracks during setting — replacement cost should be addressed in writing. Argon gas loss in dual-pane units happens if seals fail, and installation damage can void the glass warranty before the first season.
Retrofit windows in stucco buildings need pan flashing integrated with the water-resistive barrier. Cutting stucco without a flashing plan invites bulk water behind the new frame.

Safety glazing must bear permanent marks where code applies. Inspect labels before accepting the job as complete.
