Kitchen & Bath Remodeling Contractors in other cities
Doing the kitchen and a bathroom together is usually cheaper per room than doing them a year apart, because the same plumber, electrician and tiler are already mobilised and the permit covers both. The trade-off is that you lose your kitchen and a bathroom at the same time, which is a household decision more than a construction one.
Ask for the two rooms to be sequenced rather than run in parallel. Running both at once sounds faster and usually is not: the same tiler cannot be in two rooms, and inspections queue. A contractor who proposes finishing the bathroom first so you have a working one while the kitchen is down has thought about how you will actually live in the house.

Get matched with a licensed proA combined kitchen and bathroom project is unambiguously multi-trade, which places it squarely inside Class B-2 (Residential Remodeling). CSLB wrote that classification for improvements to existing residential structures needing at least three unrelated trades, and a two-room remodel clears that bar comfortably.
The contractors here hold an active licence in that classification at a Santa Monica address. The number is on the card and links to the register. Because a combined job is larger, it is worth asking to see the licence match the name on the contract — the entity you sign with should be the entity that holds the licence.
A licence also does not tell you how a contractor behaves when two rooms are open at once and something slips. Delays compound on combined projects: a countertop template pushed by a week can idle the tiler in both rooms. Ask each contractor how they handle a supplier that misses a date, and whether the schedule they gave you has any float in it at all. The answer is not on the register, and it is the difference between a nine-week job and a fourteen-week one.

Licence first. References second. Reviews last. Why that order.
Get matched with a licensed proThese sit under the same Class B-2 (Residential Remodeling) licence, so the same contractors are qualified for them.
Often, because one mobilisation, one permit and one set of trades cover both rooms. Whether it works for you depends on how long you can live without a kitchen and a bathroom at once. Ask for a sequenced schedule rather than a parallel one.
The register lists 6 with an active licence in this classification at a Santa Monica address, and 237 across Los Angeles County. The classification covers both rooms, so the same contractors appear for either job on its own.
Most households find it easier to finish a bathroom first, so there is a working one while the kitchen is out of use. It is worth raising early, because it changes the order materials need to arrive in.
The register does not record specialisms, so we do not claim any. What it records is that each contractor holds an active Class B-2 (Residential Remodeling) licence — the classification California requires for this work. Judging fit is what the references and the job visit are for.
When both rooms move plumbing or walls, one building permit through Building and Safety Division usually covers the phase. Ask whether separate mechanical or plumbing submittals apply to your scope.
