Locksmith & Security Contractors by city
Lock and security work in California ranges from rekeying after a move to access control systems that integrate with alarms. Low-voltage cabling for card readers crosses into other classifications when runs are long or panels are complex.
Hardware sold at retail is not always compatible with fire-rated doors. Ask whether the contractor verifies door labels before drilling, because violating a rated assembly voids protection.
Master key systems for small businesses need a written bitting schedule stored securely. Ask how rekeys are documented when staff turnover occurs.

Integrated alarm systems may involve additional licences. Access control on shared commercial entries needs agreement between tenants on credential management before hardware is ordered.
Listed contractors hold an active Class C-28 (Lock and Security Equipment) licence at a California address. Verify the number before granting access to keys or codes. Test every key and credential on the day of handover because pinning errors are faster to fix on site.
The register does not record whether a firm is available for emergency lockouts. Ask about response terms separately from installation quotes. High-security cylinders often require factory duplication, and spare keys should be ordered at install rather than after a loss.
Electronic locks on fire-rated doors need hardware listed for that assembly. Substituting consumer smart locks on rated doors can fail inspection.
